The Stellenbosch Wine Festival is here

This weekend, the Town of Oaks celebrates its heritage as home to the country’s oldest wine route with the annual Stellenbosch Wine Festival. Wine-lovers can look forward to sampling over 500 regional wines in a grande marquee tent on Paul Roos Gymnasium’s beautiful grounds.

Quaff your way through the verdant Winelands varietals, tuck into scrumptious fare courtesy of a few celebu-chefs, and stock up on your favourite tipples at the wine shop.

An highlight on the programme is the swanky Wine Connoisseurs’ Evening, featuring fashion shows and live performances by local musos, so be sure to bring on your bling.

If you’re keen on dining beyond Paul Roos’s periphery, head to one of these reputable eateries:
Le Pommier
Café Dijon
Big Easy
96 Winery Road
Guardian Peak
Ticket prices for the festival range from R100-R300. For more information, visit or phone 021 886 8275.
